Hundreds of local students got the chance to meet black innovators at the Williams Academy Black History Museum in Fort Myers.
The Lee County Black History Society partnered with the Edison Awards and the Lewis Latimer fellowship program for the event on Tuesday. It was called Youth Innovation Night: Unleash Your Superpowers.
The goal was to ignite creativity and empower students. They got to check out interactive exhibits and meet with professionals.
They were also encouraged to share an invention or business idea to get feedback.
