A man was arrested after being accused of shooting and killing a young father over a bag of weed near Three Oaks Park last Thursday.
Sheriff Carmine Marceno announced in a press conference on Monday that they arrested a suspect involved in the murder investigation .
According to LCSO, 25-year-old Khylil Draine murdered a father over a bag of weed.
Deputies say the victim and suspect were known acquaintances.
Marceno said a drug deal ended up turning deadly. The sheriff's office says the suspect lived in the area.
LCSO says they used technology to track down the suspect. The car was parked at the scene for a drug deal. Witness statements helped LCSO track down which way the suspect went after the murder.
Marceno said that the suspect shot the victim in the head, chest, heart area and lungs.
The suspect had one previous charge of felony battery. The sheriff's office also released that a 9 mm handgun was used in the murder.
Draine was charged with 2nd-degree murder, robbery with a firearm, shooting into a vehicle and probation violation.
