A search is underway for a missing teen swimmer at Blind Pass Beach on Sanibel. Authorities reportedly rescued two teens Tuesday afternoon after three swimmers were pulled out by a strong outgoing tide.
According to the Sanibel Fire and Rescue District, crews were able to get two of the teens on paddle boards and onto a Captiva fireboat.
The Captiva Fire Department is leading the investigation and multiple agencies are assisting, including the Coast Guard, Sanibel police, Sanibel Fire, Iona Fire and the Lee County Sheriff's Office dive team.
