USPS announced in a news release that the post office located on Fort Myers Beach at 200 Caroline Ave. has resumed operations as of Monday.
The postal operations were temporarily suspended due to the damage from Hurricane Ian.
According to USPS, the retail hours of operation are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and closed on Saturday and Sunday.
Customers with P.O. Boxes can pick up their mail 24 hours a day.
"Oh, I'm so happy," customer Liana Allen said. "It's my go-to post office, and just to have it back up and running with full services makes it so much easier now."
The post office put temporary trailers next to the building so people could still send packages and mail.
Now, people can do that and more inside the renovated building.
Bates Flags and Flag Poles also put up a new flagpole outside of the building Tuesday, just in time for July 4.
