The fireworks are flying downtown Thursday night for the Fourth of July at the Caloosa Sound Amphitheater.
However, the U.S. 41 Bridge closure is cutting off profits for business owners.
It's been about a month since it closed, and business owners are feeling the effects.
Sammy Orozco, a Cafe Blue employee, says there's definitely been a difference in business before the bridge closed and now.
"Even when we had just opened before the access with the bridge, there was a lot more people coming in," she said. "I just think that has impacted other stores."
Orozco said Blu Sushi is closing because of the lack of business.
Business owners are hoping the fireworks event will bring more people to the area who are looking to buy food and other items.
Elijah Lowman, an employee of Curio Downtown, says he doesn't know what to expect based on last year's numbers.
"Last fourth of July, we kind of have some sales data to go off of, we had a much larger uptick, and now we’re looking at some parking issues," Lowman said. "Along with that, there is the bridge closure."
