Excitement is in the air as Collier County residents celebrate the Fourth of July. Festivities kicked off Thursday morning with the annual parade in downtown Naples, and anticipation is building for tonight's grand fireworks show at the pier.
This year's fireworks display is particularly special, returning after being canceled last year due to Hurricane Ian. The hurricane caused significant damage, leading to the closure and repair of many beach entrances and parking areas. However, this year, the community is ready to celebrate.
The morning parade brought joy and patriotic spirit to downtown Naples. Families lined the streets, decked out in red, white, and blue, to watch the colorful floats and live bands.
As the day progresses, people are flocking to the beach, preparing for the evening’s main event – the fireworks show.
The display will be launched from a barge in the Gulf, just west of the Naples Pier, starting at 9 p.m., and lasting approximately 30 minutes.
