A man is on the run after failing to appear in court for charges related to soliciting a minor online.
Authorities believe Alexander Quinones, 38, might be laying low in the Miami area.
According to SWFL Crime Stoppers, Quinones was initially charged with chatting on the internet with a Collier County girl who he thought was 11 years old.
Reports say he made arrangements to meet up for a sexual encounter with the girl, but the girl turned out to be an undercover investigator.
Quinones was immediately charged with the following:
- 3 counts of online solicitation of a minor
- 1 count of traveling to meet a minor
- 1 count of seducing, soliciting or luring a child using a computer or online service
He was expected to show back up in court after his release from jail but failed to do so.
Quinones is listed at 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 180 pounds.
