The search is on for a man who was previously arrested for going on a spree of damaging local businesses with fireworks.
An arrest warrant was issued last week for Jack Sprouse, 43, for violating his probation after an arrest for criminal mischief with property damage.
SWFL Crime Stoppers said it started back on Christmas Eve when Sprouse hopped on his bike, carrying a backpack filled with Roman candle fireworks.
Reports say he went to a Fort Myers shopping center and lit off fireworks amidst last-minute holiday shoppers.
Sprouse then backed his bike inside a store, where he tossed the fire sticks inside, causing smoke damage and nearly setting other items on fire.
He then went to a parking lot, where he placed a firework fuse down inside the gas tank of a company car.
Deputies then spotted Sprouse with the fireworks in his hands and he reportedly claimed to have no knowledge or involvement in the previous incidents.
Sprouse was put behind bars for six months and released in early June on probation. SWFL Crime Stoppers said he recently violated it.
Sprouse has amassed a record of 14 previous bookings on charges of drugs, battery, grand theft, burglary and resisting.
Authorities said he has also been jailed in Suwanee County and has been sent to prison twice for forgery and grand theft.
Sprouse is listed at 5 feet 7 inches tall, 150 pounds and has a tattoo of a skull on fire on his left arm and tribal art on his right arm.
