A Lehigh Acres teen was arrested Wednesday after she reportedly kicked a deputy on the knee and hit him in the face during a theft investigation.
According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, a deputy responded to a possible theft in the 1600 block of Irene Avenue S. A possible suspect, 15-year-old Ciara Taylor, had left the scene through the back of a home.
The LCSO report states a deputy was able to locate Taylor nearby in the area of Irene Avenue S. and 18th Street SW. She refused to stop walking away from the deputy.
When the deputy tried to detain Taylor, she reportedly kicked him in the knee, and a fight ensued between them. Taylor punched the deputy in the nose, as both sides delivered blows during the struggle.
Taylor was arrested and taken to the Lee County Jail after the deputy used his stun gun twice on her. She faces a charge of battery on a law enforcement officer.
