A 26-year-old man was hospitalized after he was bitten by a shark in New Smyrna Beach on Friday, according to Volusia Beach Safety.
The incident occurred when the man was in about 5 feet of water in an inner tube when a shark suddenly bit his left foot, officials said.
The man's injuries were not life-threatening, and he received treatment at the scene of the incident. He was later transported to the hospital.
This comes after a 21-year-old man was also bitten by a shark in New Smyrna Beach on Thursday.
The man was bitten by the shark on his right foot while playing football in knee-deep water, according to Volusia County Beach Safety.
The man, who was visiting from Ohio, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Beach Safety officials are now warning beachgoers to swim in front of a staffed lifeguard tower.
They also reported just under 400 rescues since Wednesday.
