Gatorland in Orlando is celebrating over 100 alligator rescues in the last five years by creating the first-ever alligator walk of fame.
Along the walk, you can see the names of what the park calls "celebrity alligators." These include Chester, who was rescued in 2002 in Tampa after he was caught eating dogs; Larry, who was rescued in 2019 after trappers said he became too comfortable around humans because they were feeding him so much; and Jawlene, who went viral on social media for missing her upper jaw.
Gatorland says the walk pays tribute to the park's work with FWC trapping gators and removing them from areas where they may been seen as a danger to the public.
The Walk of Fame is expected to open this summer.
