In June, Fort Lauderdale United FC announced the hiring of former Florida Gulf Coast University women's soccer assistant coach Ali Rogers as the newest Head of Recruitment.
Rogers offers an extensive background to the USL Super League with nearly six years of coaching experience at the NCAA Division I level and a playing background.
Rogers is moving to Fort Lauderdale after a successful stint with Dartmouth women's soccer as an associate head coach and recruiting coordinator.
Dartmouth broke program records during Rogers' time there after having their second-best season since 2012.
The Big Green also started the season undefeated, capturing 10 victories in a row. That's the program's longest winning streak in history. They finished the season with a 7-3-5 record.
Rogers returns to Florida after spending time with the FGCU Eagles in Fort Myers between 2018 and 2023. She was originally hired as a director of operations before being promoted to first assistant/recruiting coordinator.
Rogers was eventually promoted to the Eagles' associate head coach/recruiting coordinator after the 2022 season.
In five seasons with FGCU, Rogers helped lead the team to a pair of Atlantic Sun regular season championships, one tournament title and multiple wins over power-5 programs.
Rogers coached Three All-Americans, nearly 40 All-Conference players, and 18 United Soccer Coaches All-South Region Team Selections during her time in Fort Myers. In five seasons, FGCU surpassed 50 wins while establishing itself as one of the most consistent programs in the state of Florida.
In addition to her experience coaching at the collegiate level, Rogers spent nearly five years coaching in the club space within the state of Florida.
Rogers is also a decorated athlete. She was a two-year captain for the Eagles and a five-time ASUN conference champion.
As a senior, Rogers scored both goals in FGCU's ASUN championship victory over Lipscomb, earning herself MVP honors.
After graduating from FGCU, Rogers spent time overseas with KKPK MEdyk Konin in Ekstraliga, which is the top division in Poland.
Now, Rogers and Fort Lauderdale United FC begin their season on August 17 against the Spokane Zephyr FC on the road.
After an extensive road trip, the club returns home to battle Dallas Trinity FC.
