Thousands gathered in Doral for former President Donald Trump's campaign rally on Tuesday.
NBC2 Chief Political Correspondent Dave Elias spent the day there and said many supporters hoped to find out who his vice president pick would be.
Trump, instead of announcing his VP pick, challenged President Joe Biden to another debate and a golf match.
"I challenge Biden to another debate this week," Trump said. "Man to man without a moderator. I also challenge him to an 18-hole golf challenge."
Supporters waited for hours in the scorching sun, and at times, water bottles were tossed into the crowd to keep people hydrated.
As people waited for the former president, elected leaders such as Sen. Rick Scott spoke about who he thought could be VP.
"I think Marco Rubio would make a fine VP choice," Scott said.
Supporters now hope Trump will announce his VP pick during the Republican Convention in Milwaukee next week.
