The investigation continues into what led up to two drivers hitting and killing 21-year-old Monica Soliz on Saturday.
Soliz was walking along SR-82 barefoot, with no phone or wallet, when she was struck around 4 a.m.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, an SUV and a sedan were heading west on SR-82, south of Corkscrew Road in Collier County.
The SUV hit Soliz who was walking in the westbound lane. After that incident, she was struck by the sedan.
Soliz was hit twice and pronounced dead at the scene.
ABC7 spoke with Soliz's family who told us what they know happened before Soliz's tragic accident but are still left with questions.
"She was out on a normal night with some friends. And then at the end of the night, when, you know, they were about to be taking her home, the only thing that we know is that she just was left on State Road 82 and the accident occurred," Soliz's mother, Maggie Massiate, said.
Her family is now raising money for her funeral.
