Cape Coral police arrested a woman after a traffic stop for allegedly possessing trafficking amounts of drugs and paraphernalia.
Detectives say they observed a car commit a traffic infraction at the intersection of Chiquita Boulevard and Tropicana Parkway.
Detectives initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as Janina Coleman, 31, of Cape Coral.
A K-9 officer reportedly responded to the traffic stop with his dog before performing an open-air sniff of the vehicle, which detectives say resulted in a positive alert.
Reports say detectives searched the car before finding two unmarked poll bottles containing multiple pills in Coleman's purse.
The pills were identified as morphine pills, which were not prescribed to Coleman.
Detectives say they learned that Coleman intended to both use and sell the pills.
14 grams of morphine was found, which meets the threshold for trafficking amounts. Trace amounts of cocaine and a scale were reportedly also found in Coleman's vehicle.
According to reports, Coleman was arrested and charged with one count of trafficking opium and one count of possessing drug paraphernalia.
Coleman was taken to the Lee County Jail.
