A North Port man was arrested on 42 counts of child pornography charges, including children as young as 1-year-old.
North Port police arrested Thomas Szymanski, 79, on possession of child pornography this week after investigations.
Police say they are working with all the technology companies and using every resource to find those involved in crimes against children.
"Our dedicated detectives will pursue these individuals relentlessly, and we will utilize every available resource to ensure that they are held accountable for their heinous crimes against children. Protecting the most vulnerable members of our communities is our highest priority," says North Port police Chief Todd Garrison.
Reports say Szymanski is currently in the Sarasota County Jail with no bond.
