The calendar may say it's July. But shoppers at Wynn's Market in Naples got to see — and hear — a holiday tradition.
Volunteers from the Salvation Army made a rare summer appearance on Friday with their trademark bells and red kettle.
They were raising money to help Collier County families prepare to send their children back to school.
"The need doesn’t just happen in those couple months at the end of the year," Capt. William Conley from the Salvation Army said. "The need continues to be great."
This is the third summer that volunteers have done bell ringing in July for the Salvation Army. It is part of the nonprofit's Christmas in July Red Kettle Campaign.
