A 22-year-old motorcyclist is dead after a crash with a sedan in south Sarasota Friday night.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a motorcycle was headed south on U.S.-41 at a high rate of speed, approaching the Landings Boulevard intersection.
A sedan traveling north on U.S.-41 made a left turn toward Landings Boulevard, crossing southbound lanes. The motorcycle crashed into the sedan in the middle of the intersection, FHP said.
The motorcyclist was reportedly ejected from his vehicle and pronounced dead on the scene.
