Instead of stop and go, now you will just flow.
That's the purpose of the diverging diamond. You will only be stopped by one light now instead of several.
The Florida Department of Traffic says the new traffic pattern will help reduce crashes, specifically t-bone crashes.
NBC2 crews drove through the intersection early Monday morning and noticed even more orange barrels, road closure signs and even a law enforcement presence.
As long as you stay in your lane, you will be able to navigate quite smoothly.
The diverging diamond is expected to be officially completed by mid-November.
