A former Texas priest, accused of sexual assault, was arrested in Collier County for possession of child pornography.
The Waco Police Department says they received credible reports regarding a sexual assault that occurred in 2012.
Detectives identified the priest as Father Anthony Odiong, who was reportedly arrested on July 16 in Ave Maria by a Florida Task Force.
Odiong served as a Catholic priest at St. Peter's Catholic Student Center in Waco, Texas, as well as St. Mary's of the Assumption in West Texas, from 2007 to 2012.
Officers say they also know Odiong served in Luling, Louisiana, between 2015 and 2023.
During the investigation, other survivors were reportedly revealed.
Multiple women were said to have come forward with similar experiences as the survivor who reported the initial allegation.
Reports say survivors' experiences ranged from sexual assault to indecent assault and financial abuse.
Waco officers say they believe there are more survivors and are asking to speak to anyone who may have had similar encounters with Odiong.

"To those survivors who I've already spoken to, I applaud your courage amidst having to relive your unspeakable experience. To the women and survivors who may be watching this announcement. I want to speak to you now. We are committed to the pursuit of justice. And I want you to know that you can come forward without any risk of being publicly identified," Waco Police Department detective Bradley Delay said.
NBC2 is working to find out what exactly Odiong was doing in Ave Maria.
Odiong will appear before a judge in Collier County on Wednesday before eventually being transferred to Waco to face the charges.
