The Collier County Sheriff's Office said it is investigating a homicide at a home on Alexander Circle in Immokalee Tuesday morning.
Deputies responded to a shooting at approximately 11:57 p.m. on Monday, where they said one person was dead. The man has been identified as 37-year-old Brandon Christmas.
Yellow caution tape surrounded the home as detectives and deputies worked to gather more information on what may have led to the homicide.
NBC2 crews on the scene said they saw a CSI van.
Deputies said they received the call just before midnight and have been at the home since then.
Detectives were seen using the measuring wheel from the parking lot as well.
CCSO said the suspect's vehicle was located and impounded.
Neighbors are worried, one telling NBC2 they hope the situation gets resolved quickly to keep the neighborhoods safe, especially with so many families living in the area.
"It is a little concerning you know what I mean? Especially in this neighborhood because you know you see a lot of little kids around too and you see a lot of people at night too,' neighborhood resident Ernesto Calixtro said.
