In just two weeks, you will be able to step foot onto the brand-new pickleball and tennis courts at the new Lake Kennedy Racquet Center, but it will cost you a pretty penny to play.
Here is the breakdown of membership costs.
If you live in Cape Coral and want a membership for yourself, it will cost you $60 a month or $540 annually.
For Cape Coral students, it will cost half that at $30 a month and $270 annually.
For couples who live in Cape Coral, prices could range from $105 a month to $945 a year.
If you're a visitor from out of town on an extensive stay, it will cost $100 a month for just one person.
Cape Coral city leaders discussed the fee during their council meeting on Wednesday, and some residents took the stand, pleading for a change.
City leaders plan to have a final plan for costs next week.
As for the new racquet center, it's expected to open in August first.
