A Lehigh Acres man will spend over 30 years in prison for a 2020 armed home invasion after Collier County detectives turned up DNA evidence linking him to the crime.
In April, a Collier County jury found Andres Tremols-Tapanes, 37, guilty of the robbery and aggravated battery of a person over 65.
On Wednesday, Judge John McGowan sentenced Temols-Tapanes to 30 years in prison.
The robbery happened in November 2020, when Tremols-Tapanes entered the home on 11th Avenue Southwest in Golden Gate with a fun, tied up and beat three people.
The Collier County Sheriff's Office searched the scene where detectives found a single glove, which they sent to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for DNA analysis.
FDLE found DNA in the glove that matched Tremols-Tapanes.
