A woman was arrested after months of investigating connected her to a grand theft at Kohl's in Cape Coral.
In February, Blanca Miranda Rodriguez, 47, was reportedly seen on camera pushing an empty stroller after entering Kohl's with a minor female.
Reports say Rodriguez removed six pairs of shoes from their boxes, hid them under a blanket in the stroller and left the store without paying.
The total cost of the items stolen was reportedly $789.
The Fort Myers Police Department told Cape Coral detectives that they had previously detained two females matching the descriptions of the females seen on the surveillance footage.
Fort Myers police were able to identify Rodriguez in the video.
Cape Coral officer responded to Target on Pine Island Road for retail theft on Wednesday after a loss prevention employee stopped a woman, Rodriguez, who was reportedly stealing items in her purse.
The items stolen from Target totaled $391.96, according to officers.
Detectives responded to the Target and were able to confirm that Blanca was connected to the February theft.
Blanca was reportedly arrested and taken to the Lee County Jail. She is charged with one count of petit theft and one count of grand theft, according to reports.
