Threatening messages, going to the wrong person.
Linda Peterson made a Facebook post this week that said she was upset Former President Donald Trump wasn’t killed in his assassination attempt last Saturday. She then said she was glad a supporter died and hoped someone would try again before November.
Peterson owns Luna Sheen Yoga, but businesses with similar names, like Luna Health Spa in Port Charlotte, are getting the nasty messages by mistake.
“When I pick up the phone people are very mad, say something bad or are very, very mad at me," explained the owner of Luna Health Spa, Luna Yuepingdye.
People have called Luna awful names on the phone and have even come into her business, to threaten her in person.
People have also been emailing, making appointments and not showing up, and even trying to leave without paying.
“A gentleman came out of one of the rooms, very upset, started yelling, had her come outside, he got very aggressive very quickly and came in here, told us she hates Americans," described customer Paula Dagostino.
Dagostino noticed the case of mistaken identity and jumped in to help. She created a voicemail to let people know it’s not Luna Sheen Yoga, spread the word on Facebook, and even made a sign to clear things up.
ABC7 tried reaching out to Linda Peterson but hasn’t been able to find a working number.
