Deputies have a driveway blocked off with caution tape for a shooting investigation underway at a Charlotte County home on Monday morning.
According to reports, deputies responded to Lakeshore Circle in Port Charlotte shortly after midnight for reports of a shooting. Two people suffered non-life-threatening injuries and are receiving medical treatment.
Deputies are not letting any cars or pedestrians through the area of US-41 and Tarpon Boulevard.
NBC2 crews on the scene say they continue to see forensics out where investigators were focusing on a car in the driveway of a home on Lakeshore Circle. Deputies say the person who fired the shots has been cooperative.
