If you’ve spent any time in the hospital as a patient — or had any procedures as an outpatient — you may have received medication intravenously. IVs are usually associated with illness. But what if the procedure can help unlock the key to well-being instead?
Dr. George Moricz, who works at the Naples Center for Functional Medicine, joined ABC7 to discuss the role of IV therapy as a wellness treatment option.
IV therapy infuses vitamins, minerals and other supplements directly into your bloodstream. Registered nurses deliver the IV infusion in a relaxing infusion lounge, where patients can read, listen to music, watch TV or simply close their eyes and relax. The procedure typically takes 30 minutes to an hour.
