From protecting habitats to educating people on wildlife, zookeepers do a lot of hard work for animals. At the Wonder Gardens, they help care for all of our rescued and non-releasable birds and reptiles. Zookeepers also help educate visitors through habitat chats, school visits, animal encounters and guided tours.
It's National Zookeeper Week, and Sarah Williamson and Kaitlyn Henry from the Wonder Gardens in Bonita Springs joined ABC7 to show the importance of having zookeepers. They also discussed the events coming to the Wonder Gardens.
Brew for the Birds is happening July 25. It's happening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Wonder Gardens. "Brews for the Birds" will feature over 10 local and Florida-based breweries that will offer beer and non-alcoholic drinks like kombucha.
