A hazmat situation was reported at Calusa Nature Center and Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers after three people were exposed to mercury.
According to the Fort Myers Fire Department, three people were exposed to mercury at the Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium on Ortiz Road.
The three people drove themselves to Lee Memorial Hospital around 4:40 p.m., which prompted a Code Orange hazmat response in the Emergency Department for the safety and decontamination of the patients.
