A narcotics investigation led to a man's arrest after he was allegedly selling large amounts of counterfeit blue-pressed fentanyl pills in Lee County.
The Cape Coral Police Department says Richard Riley, 57, was arrested on Thursday after the SWAt team conducted a search warrant at his home.
During the search, detectives say they found:
- Various pill bottles
- Money -$32,121
- 14 firearms
- Miscellaneous magazines and ammunition
- Sentry safe with a key
- Needles with a spoon
Detectives reportedly found a key Richard was wearing that could unlock the Sentry safe.
Reports say the safe had five different pill bottles with over 20 grams of oxycodone in pill form and over 22 grams of methadone.
Detectives say the majority of the pill bottles inside the safe contained different types of pills and had either no label or labels with different names not associated with Riley or any member living in the house.
Detectives say they found personal documents with Riley's name on them inside the safe.
Riley was arrested and taken to the Lee County Jail where he was charged with:
- One count of trafficking in oxycodone
- One count of ownership, lease, rental, or possession for trafficking in or manufacturing a controlled substance
- One count of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription
