Marion County deputies arrested a man who fought with them after allegedly fighting with another driver Saturday night off Highway 484 in Dunnellon.
Deputies say Josue Hernandez had been throwing large amounts of cash and drugs from his car window before he got into a fight with another person.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they found Hernandez in his car with a baby in the passenger seat naked, sitting in his own feces and two pit bulls in the backseat.
"At some point when he steps out, he makes some statements at the deputy and takes an aggressive fighting stance with the deputy and attempts to shove the deputy out onto the roadway as cars are coming by," said Lieutenant Paul Bloom of the Marion County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies then used their tasers on Hernandez, but they say he still continued to fight. He then commanded his dogs to attack the deputies as well.
"This is a person who is right where he needs to be, behind bars," said Lt. Bloom. "Not on our roadways, not driving with children around."
Deputies say Hernandez threw more than $15,000 in cash from his vehicle as well as more than 8 grams of fentanyl. He was arrested and charged with battery of a law enforcement officer.
