A North Fort Myers teenager is facing assault charges, accused of scratching her neighbor after a quarrel over a scooter.
Deputies say it happened along Delphi Court in North Fort Myers on Sunday.
According to a report from the Lee County Sheriff's Office, a neighbor and her son visited 19-year-old Madison Wright's home to ask for her son's scooter back.
When she arrived at the home, the neighbor told deputies she believed Wright's family was not receptive to her request, and both families began fighting.
Eventually, LCSO said the neighbor tried to drive back home. She sat in the driver's seat with her son in the passenger seat.
Wright is accused of standing in between the passenger-side door to prevent it from closing and began hitting her neighbor sitting in the driver's seat.
The neighbor told deputies she feared for her life and accelerated.
Surveillance video caught the moment the van jolted forward and prompted Wright to fall and her mother to scream.
Detectives said the neighbor had scratch marks on her neck, and her son had a scratch mark on his arm.
Wright was taken to Cape Coral Hospital and arrested. She is facing two counts of burglary with assault or battery.
