Cape Coral police say a teen girl was killed in a crash involving a bicycle at Santa Barbara Boulevard S. and Mid Cape Terrace Wednesday afternoon.
According to a friend of the victim - she has been identified as Kendra Ahrens, a student at Mariner High School.
The victim's age and identity have not been shared at this time.
"This corner is very bad for riders and I'm sorry to say to somebody was hurt here. It's sad," Cape Coral resident Edi Recker said.
ABC7 crews on the scene saw a mail carrier truck surrounded by police tape.
According to the Cape Coral Police Department, all southbound lanes of Santa Barbara Boulevard were shut down following the crash.
