Local leaders cut the ribbon Friday morning on a new luxury behavioral health treatment center in North Naples aimed at bringing one-of-a-kind care to Collier County. The center's focus will be on mental health, and battling addiction.
"I'm a lived experience with APN, and, and had I not reached out to APN when I needed that support, I would not be doing what I am doing today. I think it's incredibly important that we realize that mental health is the same as physical health. We need to dispel the stigma. It takes people to recognize that there is support in the area," said Dr. Joe Oravecz, the CEO of NAMI Broward County.
All Points North (APN) will offer treatment options including:
- Outpatient hyperbaric oxygen therapy
- Deep transcranial magnetic stimulation
- Ketamine-assisted psychiatry
- Specialty programs for executives, athletes, and first responders
"If you're an athlete, if you're an executive or professional, if you're a first responder, they have a variety of these different tracks. So you're just not in a particular group that has people from so many different backgrounds, but for a particular track," added Oravecz.
The facility also offers telehealth options for residents who cannot make it to the facility, located on Ridge Street, just off of U.S. 41 in North Naples near Pine Ridge Road.
"I think, crisis begets opportunity. When we really think about the Covid pandemic, that has provided a more and brighter light about mental health, more people are talking about mental health," said Oravecz.
