Thursday is a massive day for track and field, which sees five finals featuring some of the world’s biggest names.
Those are among the 25 gold medal events on tap for Thursday.
Other highlights include the semifinals in men’s basketball, beach volleyball and women’s water polo.
THE HIGHLIGHTS
TRACK & FIELD | Noah Lyles in the men’s 200m, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone in the women’s 400m hurdles, and Grant Holloway in the men’s 110m hurdles headline track & field action Thursday. Lyles looks to become the first man since Usain Bolt in 2016 to win double gold in the 100m and 200m at an Olympics. McLaughlin-Levrone aims to become the first woman ever to win consecutive 400m hurdles gold medals. Three-time world champion Holloway looks to add Olympic gold to his sterling resume.

VOLLEYBALL | The U.S. women’s volleyball team is facing Brazil in the semifinals. A win will take Team USA to the gold medal match. Watch live coverage at 10 a.m. ET on NBC2 and Peacock .
BASKETBALL | The U.S. men's basketball team will continue their quest for gold, taking on Serbia in the semifinal match. The winner will play either France or Germany for the gold, while the loser will play for bronze. Watch live coverage at 3 p.m. ET on NBCOlympics.com and Peacock .
HOW TO WATCH THURSDAY: BROADCAST COVERAGE
Cable, satellite and even classic over-the-air audiences will be able to easily find Olympic programming on TV. On each day of the Olympics, NBC2 will have, at minimum, nine hours of live event coverage, starting each morning and continuing through the afternoon.
In the evening, come back to NBC2 for Primetime in Paris.
