Cape Coral police are conducting an investigation after raiding the offices of home builder Beattie Development on SE 47th Terrace Wednesday afternoon.
People shared videos of officers in full armor with guns drawn at the home builder's office.
When NBC2 arrived at the scene, officers were going in and out of the business, carrying files to their vehicles.
NBC2 talked to Michelle Labelle, who said they trusted Beattie Development to build their home.
She said, "We've paid so far $600,000, and our house, is not finished. We have tiles on the roof, but they're not installed.
Labelle said its a relief to see all the police there, but they're still concerned they won't be able to get their money back. "Well, there's a little bit of relief, but we still know that we're not going to get this money. Wherew where is the money? Where did he put it? Is it stashed away? Somewhere in the Cayman Islands?"
Labelle said they hired a lawyer.
NBC2 reached out to the Cape Coral Police Department to find out exactly why they were at Beattie development.
NBC2 is working to find out more about the nature of this investigation.
