A man was arrested after allegedly stealing a portable power air compressor generator and putting a fake VIN on his truck.
According to the DeSoto County Sheriff's Office, Dennes Pinero, 54, was pulled over on Tuesday before deputies found the stolen equipment.
Pinero reportedly told deputies he bought the trailer for a 'suspiciously low' price from an unknown person.
Detectives learned the GPS on the equipment had been disabled, the truck was improperly registered and the truck itself was reportedly a cloned stolen vehicle with a fake VIN.
Deputies say Pinero gave a false name.
Pinero is facing grand theft, dealing in stolen property and providing a false name.
