A man was arrested in Puerto Rico after being accused of sexual battery in Cape Coral.
David Colon, 45, was reportedly arrested by the U.S. Marshals Taskforce in Puerto Rico.
On July 16, a Collier County Sheriff's Office detective reported a sex offense that occurred in Southwest Cape Coral to CCPD.
On Wednesday, the Cape Coral Police Department said its SWAT team conducted a search warrant at Colon's home in relation to a sexual battery investigation.
According to reports, a minor victim reported being sexually battered by Colon on multiple occasions.
Colon was located out of state and taken into custody.
During the search warrant, members of the SWAT team retrieved items described by the victim that were connected to the investigation.
Colon was reportedly charged with one count of sexual battery.
