The NBC2 First Alert Hurricane Tracking Team is monitoring a new tropical wave in the Eastern Atlantic Ocean where the odds of a tropical development are growing. The wave currently has disorganized showers and thunderstorms as it tracks to the west.
Any development in the next couple of days would be slow; however, by early next week as the wave moves towards the Lesser Antilles there is a 40% chance for a tropical depression to form.
The National Hurricane Center notes that as this potential development will eventally track west-northwestward as it approaches the Greater Antilles near the middle of the upcoming week.
