A man was arrested Monday after police say he was exposing himself and walking naked on Naples Beach.
According to the Naples Police Department, at around 12:39 p.m., officers responded to Third Avenue N. after receiving a call about a man under an umbrella who was walking naked on the beach.
A beach patrol specialist told officers he saw a man, identified as Richard Mansfield, 74, lying naked in a chair in plain view of beachgoers. Mansfield put his clothes back on after being asked to do so by the patrol specialist, NPD said.
Mansfield told police he went to the beach to cool off after the gym. Near Mansfield's chair, officers located two black circular rings that resembled genital tension rings.
Mansfield faces a charge of indecent exposure of sexual organs. He was taken to the Naples Jail.
