Demonstration: How hurricane bands form with 'Hurricane in a Bowl'

FORT MYERS, Fla. —

NBC2 Meteorologist Jason Dunning visits the IMAG History and Science Center for a hurricane week demonstration.

"Hurricane in a Bowl" requires a bowl, water and some food coloring. All you need to do is stir the water until a vortex forms and put a dab of food coloring in and watch the "hurricane" form.
