Collier County's first professional soccer team, FC Naples, has announced its first round of open tryouts, which will be held in September.
The tryouts are scheduled for Sept. 7 and 8 at the Paradise Coast Sports Complex in Naples.
“We are looking for a blend of veteran players and new talent, looking to grow with FC Naples. This is the perfect opportunity for local athletes to showcase their talent and potentially earn a spot to play for their hometown’s first team,” coach Matt Poland said.
FC Naples says even though they have an extensive network in North and South America, as well as Europe, they are invested in helping local athletes achieve their potential.
The event will have enough space for 55 players over 16 years old as of Sept. 1, 2024.
Registrants must submit a CV, highlight reel and a $55 registration fee here .
Over the two-day tryouts, players will complete conditioning drills that the club says will test physical prowess, game knowledge and individual performance.
A group of coaches will determine which players have the potential to play professionally. Selected players will advance to an invitation-only tryout event later in the year.
