Cape Coral police arrested two men accused of stealing wood from a construction site on Wednesday.
Jose Albarzo, 33, and Jose Montes, 30, reportedly loaded up wood into a truck that had just been dropped off at the construction site.
On Wednesday, around 5 p.m., an officer with CPPD responded to the construction site at NW 44th Terrace.
The construction project manager said he was called by a neighbor who saw Albarzo and Montes load the wood into a trailer.
The construction manager said no one was permitted to take the wood.
The neighbor said the truck was a four-door with a front bumper bar and a long trailer on the back.
As more officers were heading to the location, they say they saw a truck matching the description driving east on Durden Parkway.
The truck reportedly stopped on the side of the road just before turning south on Burnt Store Road.
When the truck started moving again, an officer conducted a traffic stop.
The driver was identified as Montes, and the passenger was Albarzo.
Their truck and trailer matched the neighbor's photo, and it was determined that the men had stolen $424.40 worth of construction materials.
Montes was arrested and is facing charges of second-degree burglary and driving without a valid driver's license.
Albarzo was arrested and is facing charges of second-degree burglary.
