The Lee County Supervisor of Elections, Tommy Doyle, issued a statement Friday night after allegations surfaced of an affair with a female co-worker.
In the statement, he said, “This was the worst decision of my life and something I deeply regret. My wife and I are working through this together, and through the grace of God, we are healing as a family.”
Doyle is up for re-election this week. He was elected Supervisor of Elections in 2016 and re-elected in 2020.
