An alligator was spotted on a trailer in the McDonald’s on East Oak Street in Arcadia Friday.
“I didn't even know when I pulled in McDonald's that that's what was in there. I just pulled behind the guy in front of me who had a trailer, and when I picked my head up and walked, I started laughing,” said Dorothy Wise, who snapped the pictures of the gator.
The people hauling the gator are taxidermists. They said the gator was harvested by an army veteran from Wisconsin, who flew down for a guided hunt from the Wounded Warrior Project.
“I'm really glad that they are helping the Wounded Warrior Project. That's a wonderful project and it makes me happy to know that a wounded warrior got to go and have that experience,” Wise said.
Alligator hunting season started on Aug. 15 and runs until November.
