High school football is officially back in Southwest Florida. The first round of games were played on Friday. One matchup pitted a perennial power against an up-and-comer as Dunbar traveled to Riverdale. The Tigers are coming off back to back regional titles, while the Raiders are looking to take another step in year two under Head Coach Kendoll Gibson.
Friday night's match up started slow. Both defenses were suffocating and caused two interceptions. The defenses continued to shine in a low scoring affair. In the end, Dunbar flexed its muscles and got the win in the exhibition game.
