Harborwalk will be closed to all pedestrian and bike traffic starting Wednesday, August 21, in front of the Waterfront Hotel and Hurricane Charley's.
According to Punta Gorda officials, the closure is for the Waterfront Hotel demolition.
The city of Punta Gorda said pedestrians and bicyclists will be re-routed from Harvey Street to W. Marion Avenue, across U.S. 41 to Taylor Street.
The closure will stretch from Aug. 21-23, and the news release states temporary delays may occur.
