A yacht stuck on Cayo Costa has caught the attention of quite a few boaters.
“We were boating up at Costa, had a great day with friends, and we pulled up near the, the kind of the south and the castle, and you can't miss it, probably 70, 80-foot motor yacht, parked up on the beach,” said Ryan VanDenabeele, who noticed the boat while out on the water this weekend.
Useppa Fire said the Coast Guard rescued the people on the boat during Tropical Storm Debby. Now, someone has to get the boat back on the water.
“It's so far up the beach was it was pretty shocking. I'm sure the surge from Debby had even higher tide with it, and it just really moved that way up the beach,” said VanDenabeele.
Our crews saw the Coast Guard flying over the boat. Florida Fish and Wildlife said they’re looking into the boat as well.
