Convicted double-murderer Wade Wilson is expected to be back in court Monday after being denied a retrial.
Kristine Melton, 35, and Diane Ruiz, 43, were strangled to death as part of a cross-county crime spree. In addition to the two first-degree murder charges, Wilson was convicted of grand theft, battery, burglary and petit theft.
According to court documents, a neurologist believes that Wilson may have suffered brain damage from previous injuries and requires more testing.
Reports say the prescribed tests are necessary for the neurologist to make an informed diagnosis.
His sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 27.
Count on NBC2 to be inside the courtroom when Wilson is sentenced.
