The Florida Highway Patrol arrested a man doing speeds of more than 130 mph on a motorcycle on Alligator Alley in Collier County Monday morning.
Troopers say around 8 a.m. they were sitting on I-75 at Mile Marker 92 when they say they saw a red motorcycle speed by at 131 mph.
FHP attempted to initiate a traffic stop when they say the motorcycle continued driving while reaching speeds of 138 mph.
The driver then stopped at Mile Marker 99 before troopers approached the motorcycle and identified the driver as Steven Toral, 39.
Toral was arrested and taken to the Collier County Jail where he is facing charges of:
- Fleeing from police
- Resisting arrest
- Reckless driving
- Possession of marijuana
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
